Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform dimensional and mechanical inspections across a diversified aerospace components lineup. You will prepare build packages and ensure conformance to customer and internal requirements, supporting shipments to customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years inspection experience in Aviation / Aerospace industry.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of AS9102 and preparing FAI's.
• Must read and write in English.
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T per ANSI/ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with measuring tools and QC documentation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, heat treat, welding, NDT).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and create inspection reports per AS9102.
• Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections per drawings and specs.
• Balloon drawings when needed.
• Document nonconforming materials.
• Review PO and specification requirements from suppliers.
• Read and interpret complex drawings and tolerances per GD&T.
• Perform mechanical measurements of aerospace components.
• Review customer and supplier PO requirements.
