Job summary

Airbus Americas Customer Services, Inc. is seeking a Certifying Staff Quality Management Inspector to join our Sterling, VA team near Dulles. You will ensure product quality by performing inspections and ensuring conformance to FAA/EASA standards.

Responsibilities include first article inspections, traceability, and supporting QA with SAP-driven inspection plans. This is a demanding on-site role with on-call responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• A&P license or military maintenance certification is required or equivalent.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality control and quality assurance systems.
• Aerospace design knowledge and familiarity with design techniques, tools and principals.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics and quality records.
• Teamwork mindset and collaborative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Material inspection to ensure conformance with FAA/EASA Part 21 specifications and quality standards.
• Perform first article inspections on aerospace components and GSE tools.
• Maintain batch and manufacturer traceability information.
• Review and approve aerospace articles under FAA/EASA Part 145 regulations and/or special certifications.
• Perform EASA Part-21 inspections and issue EASA Form 1s for outgoing material.
• Adhere to Airbus quality policies and SAP inspection plans.
• Accept rotating 24-hour on-call shift duties.
• Issue discrepancy reports and unserviceable tags for non-conforming material.
