Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our Mobile, AL team.

The role emphasizes planning, execution, and confirmation of quality inspections for aircraft mechanical, fuel, hydraulic, and flight control systems within production and flightline processes. Candidates should have 5 years in mechanical/structural inspection, strong knowledge of QA systems, and experience with drawings and inspection plans.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience with emphasis on mechanical/structural components and assemblies.
• Experience as a mechanic or technician is desirable.
• Airline experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans and inspection coordination.
• Familiarity with production-line tools and measurement devices.
• Proficient English communication in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical inspections in production for aircraft mechanical, fuel, hydraulic, and flight control systems.
• Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections.
• Document inspections in production orders and related IT systems and prepare first article inspection reports.
• Support troubleshooting and participate in Quality Survey requests.
• Compile non-conformance data for NCMS-based quality discrepancy reports.
• Audit Non-Conformance Rework Orders as part of MRB process.
• Validate PV approvals and process adherence; track components in non-conformance.
