Job summary

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. in Columbus, MS is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the Quality Assurance Team.

The role ensures compliance with Airbus policies and FAA/EASA regulations, conducting receiving, in-process and final inspections to ensure airworthiness of aircraft, components and materials. Responsibilities include inspecting airframes and components, recording results in SAP, and supporting continuous improvement within the Quality Department.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Experience inspecting aircraft components and systems.
• Familiar with inspection tools and data.
• Able to work onsite in Columbus MS.

Responsibilities

• Perform required technical inspections to receive or reject incoming material, airframes, aircraft components and to detect/report suspected unapproved parts.
• Perform in-process inspections for components in electrical backshop, manufacturing, composites, MRO and paint shop to judge serviceability or rejection.
• Perform detailed inspections of components such as dimensional checks and inspect for cracks, corrosion, damage and improper assembly.
• Verify proper shimming and joining of structures with rivets or other hardware in accordance with drawings and data.
• Observe and validate instrument connections, functional tests, adjustments to ensure specifications are met.
• Document and prepare airframe, engine, accessories for return to service after maintenance or modification.
