Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama is seeking an Aircraft Quality Inspector to join our team, focusing on the production process with emphasis on aircraft structure and mechanical systems.

You will execute inspections, document results in SAP-based systems, support troubleshooting, and participate in quality surveys; travel domestically and internationally as needed. The team works on A320 and A220 lines, FAA license preferred, and 3 years of quality inspection experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant License including inspection authorization preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in aviation focusing on mechanical/structural components.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical inspections during aircraft production.
• Perform visual, incoming, first article and final inspections for compliance.
• Document inspection results in SAP-based and SAL-based IT systems and prepare first article inspection reports.
• Support troubleshooting, FTPs and Quality Survey requests.
• Compile non-conformance data to launch NCMS-based quality discrepancy sheets.
• Document inspector results in FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP-based IT systems.
• Attain skills to perform audits of Non-Conformance Rework Orders as part of the MRB.
• Audit/review PV approvals and process adherence.
• Track and maintain components through the Non-Conformance process.
