Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a Detail Inspector to thoroughly inspect engine components after disassembly and uphold quality standards for the next overhaul stage.

This U.S.-based role operates on the 4th shift (Fri-Sun, 5am–5pm) with potential training on alternate shifts for up to six months. Candidates should exhibit strong attention to detail and safety compliance, with preferred experience in gas turbine engine inspection.

Qualifications

• Keen attention to detail required; ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to work 4th shift (Fri-Sun, 5am–5pm) and adapt to training on other shifts for up to 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on gas turbine engine parts to verify serviceability and conformance to specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments and gauges to check concentricity, squareness, parallelism, and angular dimensions.
• Prepare inspection records and determine rework or replacement needs; document deviations from tolerances.
• Plan sequence of operations for rework and select appropriate tooling; report any abnormal conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with RTX EH&S policies and company Code of Ethics; provide guidance to junior staff.
