Ideal candidates have 14+ years in aerospace quality, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and customers.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace/defense.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• AS9100 knowledge and compliance experience.
• Proficiency with GD&T, 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Experience with RCCA, MRB dispositions and nonconformance handling.
• Vendor management and supplier performance improvement.
• Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct the full team of quality engineers across every program and vendor base.
• Ensure quality obligations in prime-level contracts are identified and flowed down.
• Guide creation/ rollout of plans to safeguard program quality.
• Manage MRB sign-off workflow with customers and oversee fixes/prevention.
• Own the vendor scorecard program and maintain dialogue with vendors.
• Develop trending reports and performance scorecards for improvement.
• Champion company-wide quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide quality input to pre-build and engineering readiness assessments.
• Keep the approved vendor roster current and with authorizations.
• Support as needed.
