Job summary

Round-Peg Solutions (RPS) seeks a proactive Quality Engineer to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will lead quality initiatives, implement OEM requirements, and support APQP across product launches and process changes.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality, drive root cause analysis, and help reduce scrap and rework while preparing for Prime OEM audits and sustaining a culture of teamwork and empowerment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in quality and manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation, and GD&T.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills using 8D, 5-Whys, and Fishbone diagrams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude with ability to promote teamwork and empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Prime OEM customer requirements and contract-specific quality clauses.
• Prepare for and participate in Prime OEM Audits and ensure compliance readiness.
• Support and execute APQP processes across product launches and changes.
• Drive scrap and rework reduction via root cause analysis and process improvement.
• Standardize and optimize inspection techniques across machining, assembly, and supplier ops.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to identify critical parameters.
