Job summary

Ethos is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to partner with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to enhance processes and maintain ISO 9001 standards. The role focuses on establishing controls to ensure welded, machined, and formed metal products meet engineering specs, welding codes, and customer tolerances.

You will drive APQP activities, create and maintain QA dashboards, and manage product qualifications while leading continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 4+ years related experience or equivalent
• 2+ years Certified Quality Engineer
• 3+ years APQP experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, weldments, assemblies, and fabrication
• GD&T proficiency with engineering drawings
• Experience in CPQ, FMEA and quality-system documentation

Responsibilities

• Participates and leads APQP activities
• Develops and maintains dashboards and QA systems
• Develops control plans, PFMEA, and quality plans for legacy or new products
• Manages product and process qualifications (CPK, Gage R&R)
• Monitors rejects and CARs trends for assigned COE
• Leads Advanced Quality tools (DMAIC, 8D, Mistake Proofing, Process Control)
• Drives advanced root cause analysis
• Oversees QMS Certification compliance
• Manages Audit Schedule as assigned
• Standardizes tools and processes
• Leads KATA, Coaches, & Value Stream Maps
• Leads global quality initiatives
• Leads design for quality assignments
