Job summary

RTX is seeking a Quality Engineer intern to support the OSCQ functions within the defense sector in Tucson, AZ. You will act as the quality interface, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across functions to close issues quickly while ensuring program contracts and customer objectives are met.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an Engineering/STEM degree, have at least 60 credits, and are capable of obtaining a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related STEM major and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by start date.
• Experience/education with Quality and Mission Assurance processes and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience may be gained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Quality interface and drive overall quality performance, including continuous improvement.
• Support rapid closure of issues using analytical capabilities and clear communication.
• Ensure compliance of programs with customer objectives and contract requirements.
• Interface with Raytheon's supplier base to resolve open issues and review major deliverables for contract compliance.
• Review and disposition nonconformances and nonconforming material; interface with customers and DCMA as needed.
• Participate in major deviations/waivers review and assess acceptance test results and major anomaly conditions.
