Job summary
STS Aerospace in New Jersey seeks a hands-on Quality Engineer – Machine Shop to strengthen product quality, prevent defects, and support AS9100/AS9102 compliance on a precision CNC shop floor. You will collaborate with machinists, inspectors, manufacturing engineering, and production to identify risks and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field.
- 3–5 years in precision manufacturing or aerospace quality environment.
- Experience with GD&T, FAI/AS9102, RCCA, and inspection planning.
- Strong Excel; ERP/MRP experience (JobBOSS) preferred.
- Familiarity with CMM/manual inspection methods, calibration, traceability, and quality records.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical quality support for CNC turning, milling, deburr, inspection, and secondary operations.
- Interpret drawings, GD&T, customer specs, routers, and inspection requirements.
- Collaborate with machinists, programmers, and production to resolve quality concerns.
- Lead RCCA investigations, containment actions, and drive FPY and scrap reductions.
