Job summary

Tree Top Staffing LLC seeks a Director of Quality for a precision aerospace/defense manufacturer in New Jersey to lead the QMS across casting, machining, and assembly. You will drive audits, RCCM, 8D and CAPA while helping ensure regulatory compliance and product excellence.

The role requires a strong background in metrology, GD&T, non-destructive testing, and ERP systems, plus a track record of cross-functional leadership. On-site work only with executive-level benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus.
10+ years of progressive quality leadership in aerospace/defense/manufacturing.
Deep knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap, ITAR and related audits.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain a QMS aligned with AS9100/ISO 9001/Nadcap.
Lead internal/external audits and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Oversee inspection processes including CMM, GD&T, NDT.
Drive root cause analysis and RCCM/8D/CAPA actions.
Manage FAI and PPAP/APQP activities with AS9012/AS13002.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain to improve process capability.
Analyze quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap/rework.
Mentor a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
