Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3–5 years’ quality experience are required, with hands‑on work in MRB, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and PPAP/FAI per AS9102.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical discipline required.
• 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace/defense or high-precision manufacturing preferred.
• Hands-on with quality systems, inspection techniques, and regulatory compliance (AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, NADCAP).
• Proficiency with RCA, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, 8D problem solving, DMAIC/PDCA.
• Experience with FAI/AS9102 and PPAP documentation is a plus.
• ERP/MRP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, Epicor) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into internal and external quality issues using 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA. Develop and implement robust CAPAs to eliminate recurrence and improve product reliability.
• Analyze inspection, test, and process data to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and support strategic decisions. Utilize SPC and Pareto analysis to drive improvements and reduce variation.
• Exercise MRB authority to evaluate and disposition non-conforming materials; coordinate rework, repair, or scrap with engineering and production teams.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize inspection plans and control documents; conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and support PPAP submissions when required.
• Compile comprehensive quality data packages for customer reviews, including FAI reports, certificates of conformance, and traceability documentation.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure DFM, process capability, and adherence to quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare for and participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits; ensure timely closure of findings and maintain documentation for AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, NADCAP.
• Serve as a primary quality contact with customers and suppliers; manage NCRs and support quality agreements and flow-down requirements.
• Champion continuous improvement using DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen; lead quality workshops and foster a culture of quality.
