Job summary

Aerosapien Technologies in Florida is seeking a Quality Engineer to support aerospace and defense manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management, inspection, and documentation to ensure compliance.

You will work with engineering, manufacturing, machining, welding, and suppliers to maintain calibration, perform inspections, and drive corrective actions. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience are preferred, with hands-on metrology experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality experience preferred.
• Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Knowledge of AS9102 FAI, GD&T, and ASME Y14.5 preferred.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators).
• FARO Arm, CMM, or Keyence inspection experience is a plus.
• Experience in aerospace, machining, fabrication, welding, tooling, or fixture manufacturing preferred.
• Strong documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Create and control inspection reports, FAI records, NCRs, corrective actions, calibration records, and certificates of conformance.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Investigate nonconformances and perform root-cause and corrective-action activities.
• Maintain calibration and traceability of inspection equipment.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, machining, welding, assembly, and suppliers.
