Job summary

PPG Industries seeks a Quality Control Supervisor in Avon, MA to oversee QC personnel and ensure products meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards. You will drive root cause investigations, implement corrective actions and coordinate MRB/NCR processes to protect customers.

Onsite role reporting to the Quality Manager; 88k–95k base with up to 7% annual bonus. Benefits include health, retirement, paid time off and employee assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 3+ years quality-related experience in manufacturing, preferably aerospace/auto.
• 3+ years of formal people management experience.
• Experience training new and existing employees.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Controls Plans; Lean/Six Sigma; RCA; MRB; AS9100/AS9102.
• U.S. Citizenship, Green Card or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Quality Control Technicians.
• Support QA with root cause analysis and investigations; document results.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 & AS9100 QMS.
• Facilitate process-improvement suggestions using problem solving methods.
• Serve as SME on End Item Acceptance; manage training/qualification of inspectors.
• Coordinate Non-Conformance Reporting and Material Review Board activities.
• Support AS9102 First Article inspections and related procedures.
• Create and implement methods to inspect and evaluate processes, products and equipment.
• Generate QC metrics and reports to support performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Lean and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
