Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Supervisor, Quality Control in Austin, TX to oversee daily inspection activities and ensure hardware meets engineering specs and aerospace standards. You will lead QC personnel, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in inspection processes.

The role requires strong knowledge of QC practices, GD&T, and QMS; prior experience in aerospace manufacturing is preferred. We offer stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 4+ years in quality control, manufacturing inspection, or related QA fields.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in an individual contributor role.
• Practical knowledge of QC, inspection, and QA practices.
• Understanding of incoming, in-process, and final inspection procedures.
• Proficiency with GD&T, measurement data, and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with AS9100, CAPA, and QM systems; strong documentation skills.
• Advanced MS Office and ERP/QMS tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Assign tasks, coordinate personnel and resources, monitor workflow and deliverables.
• Review inspection results and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain quality records and nonconformance reports; support issue resolution.
• Prepare quality reports and status updates for management.
• Direct QC staff, provide training and guidance on procedures.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations and QA to address issues.
