Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic Manager, Quality Assurance to lead a team of quality professionals at our Bellevue, Iowa manufacturing site. This onsite role reports to the Associate Director of Product Quality and focuses on setting strategic direction and continuous improvement across the organization.

You will recruit and develop talent, drive quality data analysis, oversee SRR reduction, and apply CORE operating system practices with Operations teams at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations functional areas

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Assurance Technicians
• Oversee a people leader of Certified Inspectors
• Collaborate across Avionics locations to enable effective decision-making
• Apply the CORE operating system to daily Quality and Operations practices
• Develop and lead organizational projects for continuous quality improvement
• Drive SRR cost reduction and reduce internal defects and escapes
• Collect and analyze quality data to craft long-term strategies
• Conduct production process analyses to ensure standards and improvements
• Establish and coordinate quality policies and practices
• Recruit, retain, and develop Talent within the Quality team
• Incorporate lessons learned and industry best practices in quality initiatives
