Job summary

Chromalloy Corp. is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance for Engine Component Repair Services (ECRS) to provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of quality across repair locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, Business, or related technical discipline.
• At least 12 years of progressive aerospace quality, maintenance/repair/overhaul, repair-station, manufacturing, engineering, or operational leadership experience.
• At least 7 years of people-leadership experience, including leadership of site Quality Managers or a multi-site quality organization.
• Demonstrated experience with FAA Part 145 repair-station operations and aviation regulatory requirements.
• Proven success in leading quality performance, regulatory compliance, audits, investigations, and corrective-action programs across multiple facilities.
• Strong executive communication and judgment under pressure; ability to act when compliance, airworthiness, or product integrity is at risk.

Responsibilities

• Own and deploy the ECRS segment quality strategy, priorities, operating rhythm, and improvement roadmap across repair locations.
• Lead, coach, and hold accountable site Quality Managers while strengthening succession, capability, and organizational depth.
• Serve as the senior Quality partner to segment leadership and communicate performance, risks, resource needs, and recovery plans to executive leaders.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 and applicable FAA, EASA, CAAC, UK CAA, certification, customer, and internal requirements.
• Drive audit readiness, corrective action, effectiveness reviews, and prevention of repeat findings across the segment.
• Use quality metrics and risk signals to improve performance, reduce quality escapes, and strengthen product and customer outcomes.
• Lead responses to significant customer concerns, product escapes, investigations, containment, risk evaluation, and recovery plans.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve first-pass yield, process capability, documentation discipline, and defect prevention without compromising compliance.
• Drive consistent quality governance, data standards, management reviews, and electronic quality management workflows across ECRS locations.
• Build trusted relationships with customers, regulators, and certification bodies through clear communication and disciplined follow-through.
