Job summary

Bastion in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support NASA-related programs under the SMAS II contract. The role focuses on inspection, surveillance, and ensuring conformity to AS9100/ISO 9001 standards across hardware fabrication, testing, first article, and final items.

Candidates must have at least 5 years of related experience, US citizenship, and ability to read complex blueprints, with proficiency in documenting non-conformances and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 5 years of related experience; NASA experience highly desired.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, charts, and specs.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA inspection, assessment, and surveillance for space flight hardware per customer and company requirements.
• Maintain training/certifications for quality inspection authority and warranties.
• Apply QA requirements per approved plans during fabrication, testing, first article, and final inspections.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications and document inspection results.
