Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the NASA space program from a Resident Management Office in Clearwater, FL. The role involves inspection, surveillance, and verification of hardware against QA plans and customer specifications.

The candidate will apply AS9100/ISO 9001 knowledge, read complex blueprints, and maintain certifications. Onsite work with potential travel, and a focus on quality and compliance with security requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have US citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer information.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience; NASA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management System Requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical charts, and specification sheets.
• Ability to initiate non-conformance reports, document and report inspection results, and monitor corrective actions for effectiveness.
• Maintain current company and customer training certifications required to uphold quality inspection stamp authorization and warranty expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA inspection, assessment, and surveillance functions for space flight hardware.
• Maintain training and certifications necessary for quality inspection stamp authorization.
• Execute quality requirements per approved QA plans during fabrication, testing, and inspections.
• Apply AS9100/ISO 9001 QMS requirements when interpreting drawings and specs.
• Other duties as assigned.
