Smith Brothers Tool Company is seeking an in-person CNC Machinist to set up and run 3-axis and 5-axis milling centers, turning blueprints into precision components.

You will apply GD&T, input offsets, and edit G-code/M-code while measuring features with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators. Join a detail-oriented shop environment with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ CNC milling experience on 3- and/or 5-axis machines.
• Fluent blueprint reading with tolerance discipline.
• Proficient in G-code and M-code.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and run CNC milling centers (3-axis/5-axis).
• Read blueprints and apply GD&T to achieve exact specs.
• Enter offsets and edit programs on the control (G-code/M-code).
• Measure in-process features with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues; perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work area.

Build for Flight—Own the CutImagine starting your shift with a complex aerospace drawing and leaving with a finished, inspection-ready part. You’ll program tweaks at the control, set up 3- and 5-axis mills, and validate every critical dimension as you go.
