Smith Brothers Tool Company in Michigan seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis milling centers, delivering precision, inspection-ready parts.

You will read blueprints, enter offsets, edit programs in G-code/M-code, and verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, working to tight tolerances and GD&T standards.

This full-time, on-site role offers shifts, overtime, and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in CNC milling with 3-axis and/or 5-axis experience.
• Fluent blueprint reading; able to hold tight tolerances.
• Strong shop math and a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with controls: Fanuc, Fidia C20, Siemens, Haas, or similar.
• Working knowledge of G-code and M-code.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up, adjust, and run CNC milling centers (3-axis and 5-axis) for high-accuracy work.

Imagine starting your shift with a complex aerospace drawing and leaving with a finished, inspection-ready part. You’ll program tweaks at the control, set up 3- and 5-axis mills, and validate every critical dimension as you go. This role is about mastery, not monotony.

Impact & Responsibilities
