Job summary

Senior Aerospace SSP, a division of Senior plc, seeks a Project Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of Project Engineers and Interns through design and verification activities for new product development, sustaining engineering, and R&D programs, under the Director of Product Engineering.

The role emphasizes assigning responsibilities, monitoring schedules and budgets, and driving process improvement across the IPT while mentoring staff and ensuring timely, profitable technical results.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 5+ years aerospace engineering experience.
• 5+ years managing projects and leading teams; mentoring engineers.
• Prior experience in aerospace mechanical systems engineering.
• Experience with AS9145 / APQP Product Planning and Development phases.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design team during all phases of the development process with value engineering and guidance to design professionals.
• Provide technical leadership of New Product Development programs with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive generation of ideas and oversee technical efforts to ensure timely, profitable results.
• Recruit, direct, evaluate, and mentor staff; oversee staff development and performance reviews.
• Identify process improvements and establish best practices across the IPT; monitor progress and adapt tactics.
