Job summary

Safran Electronics & Defense, Avionics USA, LLC. seeks a Project Engineer to independently lead aerospace and defense projects, coordinating cross-functional IPTs to resolve technical and program issues while meeting cost and schedule objectives.

You will drive disciplined execution through planning, data analysis, risk management, and structured problem solving, with focus on iterative improvement and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or related technical discipline with minimum 3.0 GPA or two years of PM experience.
• Ability to communicate in English with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Aerospace & Defense industry experience is preferred.
• Experience coordinating technical teams and engineering activities.
• Experience with budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical teams to meet requirements and deliverables.
• Lead engineers and cross-functional teams to define problems and solutions.
• Coordinate engineering reviews and cross-functional activities.
• Support root-cause investigations with IPTs and customers for corrective actions.
• Analyze project data to support data-driven decisions.
• Prepare and present project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standard work and lifecycle processes.
• Promote standard work and drive accountability in process execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resources.
• Track progress, staffing, and variances; forecast resource needs.
• Manage budgets and monitor spending; perform cost performance and EVM.
