Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense in Santa Ana is seeking a high-energy Program Manager to own the full product lifecycle from contract award through final delivery. You will manage cost, schedule, and technical performance, lead negotiations, and coordinate proposals with the business team.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 5+ years in aerospace/defense program management, plus 3+ years in manufacturing programs, P&L ownership, and MS Project proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related aerospace/defense program management experience.
• 3+ years' experience managing aerospace and defense programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with program P&L ownership.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• U.S. Person, as defined by ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Preferred: degree in engineering or related fields; experience with military aircraft components.
• Experience in a high-mix manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure programs are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Manage Integrated Program Team (IPT) consisting of engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain.
• Tracking, reporting, and managing the overall program performance.
• Work closely with operations, master scheduler, and production planners in the development and execution of high-volume production programs.
• Brief internal and external stakeholders on program performance, critical actions, and risks.
• Lead engineering and operations in the planning and execution of new product introductions.
