Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense in Santa Ana seeks a high-energy Program Manager to own the full product lifecycle from contract award to delivery, managing cost, schedule and technical performance. You will manage IPTs across engineering, operations and supply chain, drive reviews, and coordinate proposals.

A BS degree and 5+ years aerospace/defense PM experience required. This role collaborates with customers and internal stakeholders in a dynamic engineering environment and offers opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university and 5+ years related experience in aerospace and defense program management.
• Experience with program P&L ownership and managing complex programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and ITAR/EAR considerations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure programs are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Manage IPT consisting of engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain.
• Track, report, and manage overall program performance.
• Lead planning and execution of high-volume production programs with operations and scheduling teams.
• Brief internal and external stakeholders on performance, actions, and risks.
• Drive critical path items to completion by advocating for the customer across departments.
• Communicate actions needed to support schedules and identify blockers.
