Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Production Associate in Cheshire, CT. This onsite role involves assembling and soldering PC boards for gyro systems, following detailed wiring diagrams and assembly drawings. You will mount boards, route wires, and perform rework as needed.

The position requires passing a hands-on solder test, a high school diploma, and the ability to read and follow written instructions. Exposure to chemicals and microscope use is expected.

Qualifications

• Must pass a hands-on solder test to be considered.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Must be able to handle and manipulate small parts.
• Must follow written instructions and supervisory direction.
• Must meet soldering school requirements and vision standards.
• Must work with chemicals and use a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, wires, and solders PC boards for gyro assemblies.
• Reads wiring diagrams and assembly drawings to select components.
• Mounts PC boards to gyro assemblies and routes wires.
• Solders components and cuts wires to specified lengths.
• Performs rework and repair on units from test/QA.
• Maintains a neat, clean work area and follows safety protocols.
