Job summary

RTX’s Collins Aerospace unit in Phoenix, AZ is hiring an Electrical Assembler III to perform electro-mechanical assembly, soldering, wiring and inspection for aerospace products. You will follow instructions, use hand tools and assembly machines, and ensure quality and documentation.

This onsite role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, IPC J-STD-001 certification preferred, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Work hours are 6:00AM–2:30PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED or equivalent with technical training.
• IPC J-STD-001 certification is preferred.
• Experience in electronics/electro-mechanical assembly is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic manual or machine assembly tasks for electro-mechanical builds for aerospace applications.
• Assemble electronic units using proper techniques and identify parts by markings or codes.
• Solder components and operate assembly machines.
• Measure, mix and apply chemicals/adhesives as required.
• Read and interpret assembly instructions and engineering standards.
• Maintain accurate records and train others as needed.
