Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in New Brighton, MN, is seeking a Production Planner to support development of production schedules, release manufacturing orders, and monitor shop floor activities.

You will assist capacity planning, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with Engineering to maximize utilization of facilities and equipment. The role requires 5 years of planning experience, strong ERP/MRP skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Planning experience.
• Intermediate experience utilizing MRP and ERP systems, including demonstrated experience using ERP planning and integration concepts.
• PC skills in a Windows environment, proficient with Excel.
• Effective English language written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules and support MRP rules to maximize production efficiency.
• Assist Master Scheduler with capacity planning by analyzing forecasts, orders, and workforce constraints.
• Release manufacturing orders, monitor schedules and expedite material flow to meet ship dates.
• Schedule incoming raw materials and assist in scheduling outside processes.
• Maintain accuracy of production planning data in the MRP/ERP system and monitor inventory levels.
• Collaborate with Engineering to maximize facility and equipment utilization and identify lean opportunities.
• Assess impact of engineering changes and project management on schedules and implement changes.
