Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Planner to plan and implement production schedules for various product lines at the Kingston, NY facility. The role involves coordinating with Procurement, Operations, Sales, Logistics and other departments to meet on-time delivery goals and maintain inventory levels to support schedules.

The position requires an Associate degree (Business or Supply Chain preferred) and at least two years in production planning, with experience in MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in production planning.
• Experience working with a business forecast, master production schedule and MRP systems.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Plans and schedules orders to assure customers’ needs are met and releases work orders to production.
• Assists with forecasting end item and component demands.
• Coordinates with Procurement to align supplier delivery schedules with production needs.
• Monitors resource requirements to meet schedule requirements and balances demand and supply.
• Maintains minimum inventory to support the production schedule and develops lean solutions.
• Interfaces with Logistics, Customer Service, Marketing, Engineering, Quality to resolve delivery issues.
• Interacts with production to resolve material quality and work order closure problems.
