Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in New Brighton, MN on-site is seeking a Production Planner to support the development of production schedules, assist the Master Scheduler with capacity planning, and release orders to the shop floor.

The role also involves monitoring schedules in the MRP/ERP system, managing inventory, coordinating with Engineering for tool and process improvements, and driving LEAN initiatives to maximize facility utilization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of Planning experience.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and ERP concepts.
• Proficient in Windows and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work in ITAR-controlled environment and US work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules to meet ship dates using MRP rules.
• Assist Master Scheduler with capacity planning and forecasts.
• Release manufacturing orders and monitor schedules to meet ship dates.
• Schedule incoming raw materials and coordinate outside processes.
• Maintain data in MRP/ERP and monitor inventory levels.
• Identify LEAN improvement opportunities and support process changes.
