Job summary

AV’s Summer Internship Program offers a paid 12-week, onsite experience in the aerospace and defense industry for college students or recent graduates. As a Product Engineering Intern you will support engineering teams across design, development, testing and launch of innovative products.

You'll work with project engineers, learn systems engineering fundamentals, and gain hands-on experience from concept to verification.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals and mathematics.
• Interest in the product development lifecycle and hands-on learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in improving product development processes using modeling, design reviews, and lean methods.
• Support cross-disciplinary teams through meetings, documentation, and progress tracking.
• Participate in subsystem design, characterization, and performance evaluations with guidance.
• Assist in prototype builds and collaborate with suppliers and contractors.
• Help track schedules, tasks, and issues with project management tools.
• Attend design and technical reviews to observe decision-making.
• Support documentation development and data collection for tests.
• Learn and apply company standards and engineering templates.
• Perform other duties as assigned by mentors.
