Job summary

MPI is seeking a process engineer to optimize aerospace precision manufacturing near Glenwillow, Ohio. You will develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes for tight-tolerance components to ensure quality, manufacturability, and efficiency.

The role involves creating manufacturing plans, translating drawings and GD&T into workflows, supporting CNC turning/milling/grinding/manual operations, and designing fixtures and inspection plans to improve process repeatability and throughput.

Qualifications

CNC manufacturing experience.
Programming experience is a plus.
Experience with manufacturing process improvements.
Experience with SolidWorks and 3D modeling.
MasterCam experience.
Epicor experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, document, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for complex, tight‑tolerance precision components, ensuring optimal manufacturability, quality, and production efficiency.
Create and maintain manufacturing plans, including operation sequences, tooling requirements, setup instructions, and production standards for new and existing products.
Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to translate technical requirements into detailed manufacturing processes and workflows.
Support production operations through machine setup and process validation across CNC turning, milling, grinding, and manual machining environments.
Design and implement fixtures, tooling, gauges, and workholding to improve repeatability and setup consistency.
