Job summary

Astranis in California is hiring a Conformal Coating Technician to advance PCBA conformal coating processes for spaceflight and ground hardware. You’ll operate dispensing equipment, perform manual preparation, and support new coating developments with cross-functional engineering teams.

This role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of hands-on electronics experience, ability to read drawings, and onsite work five days a week in Northern California.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of hands-on technician experience in electronics.
• Experience with PCBA conformal coating and PCBA material handling.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and travelers.
• Familiar with Windows operating systems.
• Onsite work five days a week.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated dispensing equipment and batch washing systems.
• Perform manual PCBA preparation and processes (masking, staking, de-masking, touchups).
• Provide feedback to improve staking coating drawings.
• Follow work instructions and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering to support new developments.
• Document future activities with design and manufacturing teams.
