Job summary

Astranis is seeking a PCBA Conformal Coating Technician to support new process development for PCBA conformal coating across spaceflight and ground hardware. You will assist with the overall conformal coating workflow, supporting both automated equipment and manual application processes.

The role involves operating dispensing equipment, performing masking and de-masking, and collaborating with cross functional engineering teams to advance coating processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on technician experience in electronics
• Experience with PCBA conformal coating and PCBA material handling
• Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and travelers
• Onsite 5 days a week

Responsibilities

• Operate automated dispensing equipment and batch washing systems
• Perform manual PCBA preparation and processes such as masking, staking, de-masking, and manual touchups
• Provide feedback to improve staking coating drawings
• Perform all work according to work instructions
• Work with cross functional engineering team to support new developments
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to develop and document future activities
