Job summary

Astranis in Northern California designs, builds, and operates satellites, delivering secure networks to enterprises, governments, and defense customers. The SMT Technician will program PCBA assembly machines and support the SMT process to meet development and production dates.

You will develop reflow profiles, program paste printers and jet printers, create AOI programs, and verify processes with x-ray inspection, while collaborating with design and manufacturing engineers. On-site 5 days a week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2+ years hands-on technician experience in aerospace/automotive or similar.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and travelers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support new developments.

Responsibilities

• Develop reflow profiles that meet TAL and peak temperature requirements.
• Program a paste printer, pick and place machine and jet printer and verify programs are defect free.
• Create automated AOI programs for PCBA inspection.
• Develop selective soldering (SLS) profiles and verify with x-ray inspection.
• Support wash, depanel and x-ray inspection processes.
