Job summary

RTX is seeking an inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections on aircraft-engine components at our onsite facility in Wells, ME. You will verify measurements, document findings, and determine material disposition in alignment with engine manuals and drawings.

The role requires DX certification, familiarity with Solumina and SAP, and proficiency in Excel and Outlook. Expect a collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Inspection experience with current DX certification (OEM or AMO).
• Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic shop math and familiarity with precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections following procedures to verify parts and accept/reject material.
• Support DNS cell in a major WIP burndown to aid the fleet.
• Document inspection findings and disposition parts as acceptable or requiring repair.
• Operate fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
• Perform mathematical calculations to determine extent of nonconformance and document results.
• Maintain inspection stamp and ensure compliance with engine manuals and drawings.
• Coordinate with team to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands, including overtime as needed.
