Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced inspector for our North Berwick, ME site to perform dimensional and visual inspections on aerospace components. You will follow approved procedures, document findings, and determine dispositions for parts and tools.

The role requires DX certification or equivalent, familiarity with Solumina and SAP, and proficiency in Excel/Outlook. It offers a weekend shift, competitive pay ($18.30–$34.40/hr), and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Able to navigate Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection following standardized methods and established techniques, which may involve surface plate work, or standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gages or other equipment and accept or reject material based on findings.
  • Directly support the GTF Ducts & Seals (DNS) Cell in a major WIP burndown effort to support the fleet!
  • Document inspection findings and disposition parts as acceptable or requiring repair based on your findings.
  • Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
  • Maintain Inspection stamp and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime.

What You Will Do
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection following standardized methods and established techniques, which may involve surface plate work, or standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gages or other equipment and accept or reject material based on findings.
  • Directly support the GTF Ducts & Seals (DNS) Cell in a major WIP burndown effort to support the fleet!
  • High visibility and potential for growth through demonstrated performance.
  • Work to approved procedures, drawings, and Engine Manuals to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment.
  • Document inspection findings and disposition parts as acceptable or requiring repair based on your findings.
  • Integrate with the existing team to foster a collaborate and problem-solving environment.
  • Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
  • Perform mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance, & document.
  • Recognize the need for, and arrange for, the repair or replacement of measuring equipment.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.
  • Must maintain Inspection stamp.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime.
  • This is a Weekend Shift, Friday -Sunday , 6:00am-6:30pm.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Active DX or FX inspection certifications (OEM or AMO).
  • Previous AMO inspection experience.

The salary range for this role is $18.30- $34.40. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
