Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Elyria, Ohio, is hiring a Repair and Overhaul (R&O) Technician for 1st shift (6:30am–3:00pm, Mon–Fri). You will test, evaluate, and repair customer returned units to manufacturing specifications under FAA regulations.

Responsibilities include diagnostic testing, parts selection, reassembly with soldering and testing, and meticulous documentation while following ISO 9001 procedures and pursuing continuous improvement within a team environment.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years experience in the overhaul, modification, and repair of electronic components.
• Experience in (centrifugal or displacement) pumps teardown and assembly highly preferred.
• Must have the ability to read, understand, and follow manuals blueprints, and all written work instructions and procedures in English.
• Must be able to use all hand tools, soldering irons, and all bench test equipment.
• Must be able to function and participate in a team environment.
• FAA repairman's certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic testing, evaluating, troubleshooting, and estimating the time and parts required to complete the repair, modification, or overhaul.
• Selecting and requisitioning replacement parts as required.
• Reassembling units and replacing parts, including soldering, potting, and testing as required to complete the repair, modification, or overhaul.
• Accountable for the time, parts, and quality of work performed on the unit and the accurate recording of these on all applicable paperwork.
• Perform work within all related ISO 9001 work instructions and procedures.
• Continuously pursue process improvement and cooperatively participate in all team activities.
