Job summary

Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls in West Hartford, CT, is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager 3 to lead an IPT for mechanical NPI programs from concept through production transition.

You will manage cross-functional teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with customer specs while driving continuous improvement and value engineering on aerospace products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• Five years minimum experience in a project engineering role for aerospace or military mechanical products.
• Hands-on mechanical product assembly, inspection and testing experience.
• Ability to read and understand GD&T.”

Responsibilities

• Lead an integrated product team in development of new products.
• Communicate with the customer on technical and project management topics.
• Prepare component specifications, test procedures, and test reports.
• Prepare compliance matrices against customer specifications.
• Prepare and present product design reviews to internal and external customers.
• Provide oversight of mechanical test activities (setup and testing).
• Organize RCCA activities to diagnose mechanical products.
• Review schedule and budget commitments and communicate risks to management.
• Ensure NPD procedures are adhered to and implement continuous improvement.
• Support Operations to meet financial objectives through acceptance tests and build standards.
