Job summary

Triumph Group, based in West Hartford, CT, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager 3 to lead the NPI team for aerospace products. You will drive product development from concept through production, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate cross-functional teams with customers and suppliers.

The role requires a mechanical/ aerospace background, PMP is a plus, and a history of delivering complex projects on time with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• PMP certification is a plus; MS or MBA is advantageous.
• 5+ years in a project engineering role for aerospace or military mechanical products.

Responsibilities

• Lead an integrated product team in new product development.
• Communicate with customers on technical and project management topics.
• Prepare specifications, test procedures and reports.
• Prepare compliance matrices against customer specs.
• Present design reviews to customers and internal teams.
• Oversee mechanical testing activities and RCCA activities.
• Monitor schedule and budget, identify risks and report to management.
• Ensure NPD procedures are followed and drive continuous improvements.
• Support operations to meet Design to Cost objectives.
• Identify and implement product/process improvements.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet milestones.
• Foster relations with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
