Job summary

Senior plc in California is seeking an intern to assist the New Product Development team. You will support daily NPD tasks, handle special assignments, and report to the Head of Commercial Strategy with dotted-line oversight by Program Managers.

This preparatory role develops future Program Management leaders in a global engineering environment, offering exposure to commercial strategy and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace or Physics; other technical degrees may be considered.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to apply first principles to unfamiliar problems.
• Demonstrated leadership and technical competence with examples.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and task breakdown abilities.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the NPD team in development programs and actions.
• Contribute to program management and program execution.
• Assist production activities, logistics, and issue resolution.
• Support process improvement, automation, and standardization.
• Perform data reduction and analysis to tell a data-driven story.
