Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney Asheville site is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer Technician (MQE) to support FAI development and continuous improvement on assigned hardware. The role requires a HS diploma or 2-year degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience; your work will partner with Cell Leaders, Quality and Engineering to ensure manufacturing compliance and process reliability.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Broad aerospace industry knowledge and turbine engine parts manufacturing experience.
Ability to work in a team problem-solving environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Cell Leaders, Cell Members, Quality and Engineering to ensure manufacturing compliance and equipment usage.
Develop and construct manufacturing cells; review tooling requirements and aid tool design.
Order specialized tools and supplies to support processes.
Create and maintain standard work.
Improve processes to reduce costs and improve reliability and control.
Gather data on non-conformances; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Lead FAI development and new process tryouts on the shop floor.
Organize and lead continuous improvement activities on assigned hardware.
Track product quality and cost; provide timely technical support to Operations.
