Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX business unit, is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Supervisor in Asheville, NC. The role emphasizes leadership, continuous improvement, and adherence to safety and quality standards to meet MRP requirements.

Responsibilities include directing teams, scheduling, project management, and daily problem-solving to ensure on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction while supporting cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of manufacturing/operations experience or Master’s with 2+ years of manufacturing/operations experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing setting.
• U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to employees and lead engagement and continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members.
• Establish work schedules and monthly delivery plans aligned with customer needs and financial obligations.
• Provide leadership with an emphasis on team building through toolbox meetings and effective communications.
• Achieve target performance levels through disciplined execution of SPS and Leader Standard Work.
• Demonstrate accountability for daily results and rapid root-cause analysis.
• Drive development of a strong problem-solving culture and sustained improvements in safety, quality, and cost reduction.
• Communicate requirements to supporting processes to ensure smooth process flow.
• Maintain a productive relationship with employees and uphold safety and EH&S requirements.
• Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
