Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Mechanical Systems Project Leader for 30K Mechanical Systems to own part-level hardware execution and lead CIPT planning across the product lifecycle. You will coordinate with engineering management, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to meet technical and program objectives.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring schedule commitments while working on next-generation engine programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Military, Aerospace or related industries.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Own part-level execution for assigned mechanical-system hardware, ensuring technical requirements, communication, risk management, performance, quality, cost, and schedule commitments are achieved.
  • Lead and coordinate CIPT activities to identify, assess, mitigate, and close critical technical risks and issues, while driving corrective actions to maintain milestones.
  • Drive IPT execution, including budgets, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and metrics to keep commitments on plan.
  • Lead and support technical and program reviews by establishing milestones, validating content, and communicating status, risks, and recommendations.
  • Serve as a key technical interface with customers, SIPTs, IPMTs, senior leadership, and suppliers, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and programs to resolve challenges.
