Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, invites an experienced engineer to join Pratt & Whitney MSEN as a Project Leader for 30K Mechanical Systems in East Hartford. You will own part-level hardware execution and lead CIPT planning to deliver critical components across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with engineering management, manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to meet technical, cost, quality and schedule goals, with travel up to 10%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years in Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace or related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on strategic projects and familiarity with aerospace product lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Own part-level execution for assigned mechanical-system hardware, ensuring requirements, communication, risk management, performance, quality, cost, and schedule commitments are met.
• Lead CIPT activities to identify, assess, mitigate, and close technical risks and issues, driving corrective actions to milestones.
• Drive IPT execution with budgets, schedules, milestones, and key deliverables; monitor technical and business metrics.
• Lead and support technical reviews by setting milestones, validating content, and communicating status and recommendations.
• Serve as a technical interface with customers, SIPTs, IPMTs, senior leadership, and suppliers; collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
• Provide technical leadership for validation engine builds, engine testing, and development activities while mentoring junior engineers.
