Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a leading aerospace engineering and aircraft completions organization in Lake Charles, LA or Dallas, TX on a 12+ month contract.

You will develop mechanical designs, perform analyses, and coordinate with certification, manufacturing, and installation teams to meet regulatory and project goals.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 7+ years in aerospace, with CAD proficiency (CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or related industry.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX, or similar design platforms.
• Experience creating engineering drawings, technical documentation, and design packages.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs, drawings, installation packages, and technical documentation for aircraft interior and structural modification projects.
• Design and analyze interior components including seating installations, monuments, cabinetry, galleys, lavatories, partitions, and structural assemblies.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses for structural integrity, material selection, and system integration.
• Coordinate with certification, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and production objectives.
• Support troubleshooting, design reviews, aircraft surveys, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
