Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and produce mechanical hardware for aerospace, solid rocket propulsion, and defense programs. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and supports multiple sites including Huntsville; relocation may be provided.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, analyses, test support, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure producibility, reliability, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 4 years of experience, or Master’s with 2 years, or 8 years in lieu of a degree.
• 4–10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, aerospace, defense, propulsion, manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience designing and developing mechanical hardware, structures, tooling, or test equipment in a complex environment.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling, engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance, if required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and propulsion hardware from concept to production.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and other documentation for motor and aerospace hardware.
• Perform structural, thermal, stress, fatigue, and vibration analyses as needed.
• Support testing and qualification of propulsion hardware and review test data.
• Collaborate with propulsion, systems, manufacturing, quality, and program teams for producibility.
• Participate in design reviews and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Support production by resolving issues and implementing design improvements.
