Job summary

Voyager Technologies, a leader in space, defense, and national security tech, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop propulsion-related hardware from concept to production. You’ll generate 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs while performing structural and thermal analyses to ensure reliability.

Work is hybrid with locations including Folsom, Reno, Long Beach, or Huntsville; relocation assistance may be provided. A U.S. security clearance may be required for certain roles.

Qualifications

• Degrees or equivalent experience in mechanical/aerospace engineering with relevant professional background.
• Experience with 3D CAD, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in aerospace/defense hardware development, testing, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical hardware and propulsion-related components from concept to production.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Perform structural, thermal, fatigue, and vibration analyses as needed.
• Support testing, integration, and environmental qualification of hardware.
• Collaborate with propulsion, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to ensure producibility and reliability.
• Participate in design reviews and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Resolve issues in production and implement design improvements with safety and cost targets.
