Job summary

RTX seeks engineering interns in Tucson, AZ to design structures and assemblies and contribute to testing and procurement activities. You will perform detailed drafting per ASME Y14.5 and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to mature designs.

The role targets students pursuing Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, entering Sophomore year by Summer 2027, with eligibility for U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program.
• At least Sophomore year by Summer 2027.
• Pursuing Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• U.S. citizenship required to be eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design of structures, assemblies, and some mechanisms.
• Detailed design and drafting per ASME Y14.5.
• Support development hardware procurement and testing.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to mature designs quickly.
